After School Program Director

Full or Part-Time

Leelanau Montessori is seeking a positive, kind, responsible person to lead an enriching after-school program for children between the ages of 3-10 years old. The program will reflect our Montessori culture, include outdoor experiences, foster cooperation and connection and provide exemplary care for young children.

Job Summary:
The After School Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the after-school program. This includes program development, safety and childcare regulations, relationship based leadership, and collaboration with parents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, knowledge of child development, and experience in program management.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with children, preferably in a school or community setting.

- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in after-school programming.

Preferred: At minimum Bachelorโ€™s degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Recreation Management, or related field.

- First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
