Hiring for our PART TIME, OUTDOOR Plant Merchandiser role!


This position is SEASONALLY-BASED. This role is NOT Full-time or Year-round.

National Garden Service, founded in 2019, is a full-service, live goods and garden center merchandising company that provides exclusive outdoor floral services for a grocery retailer nationwide. Our company is made up of enthusiastic plant lovers who thrive in a fast paced, seasonally driven environment. This role will service the following store(s):


  • Store 475 - 1700 Declaration Drive Independence, KY 41051


As a Garden Center Merchandiser, your workday will include:

  • Display a variety of outdoor plants
  • Maintain product displays each day
  • Water all plant materials
  • Develop a watering plan with the floral department manager for additional support as needed
  • Ensure proper signage is in place
  • Maintain a safe and clean display area
  • Remove and record expired plant material
  • Interact with store personnel and customers
  • Develop a positive working relationship with store management and associates
  • Complete report for each store serviced
  • Document every visit using the Go Spot Check app


As a Garden Center Merchandiser, you will be required to:

  • Have a smart phone
  • Workoutdoorsin all elements
  • Have dependable transportation that you have access to daily
  • Have a valid drivers license
  • Lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs repetitively
  • Understand and execute planograms
  • Use workplace mobile apps
  • Able to assemble and tear down outdoor benching
