Title: Live In House Manager
Location: Quogue, NY (The Hamptons)
Compensation: $140-$160K DOE + benefits
UHNW family seeks an experienced Live In House Manager for a luxury oceanfront estate in the Hamptons, including its adjacent guest house. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing high-end properties and ensuring seamless operations year-round.
Responsibilities:
Fall/Winter
  • Winterize the house by storing the awnings and outdoor furniture.
  • Safeguard the machinery of the swimming pool.
  • Maintain the fences overlooking the ocean, especially during nor easterners.
  • Securing doors and windows.
  • Bringing sensitive plants indoors or into the greenhouse.
  • Maintaining correct thermostat settings for cold months.
  • Order fuel.
  • Replace appliances and other home items that may need replacement.
  • Work with the housekeeper to organize linen closets.
  • Clean and service the fireplaces.
  • Provide for snow removal.
  • Work with the gardener to cut down loose branches.
  • Look for deals on shrubs and trees that may have been damaged.
  • Other auxiliary tasks.
Spring/Summer
  • Outdoor cleaning and planting buds.
  • Reinstalling canvas awnings.
  • Refurbish furniture from outdoor areas.
  • Help stock the wine closet and refrigerators during the months the family is around.
  • Be ready to find a chef, service people, housekeeper.
  • Local knowledge of carpenters' plumbers' electricians, etc.
Maintain a health-conscious environment by prioritizing eco-friendly practices and avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or plastic-based products both indoors and outdoors. On matters of aesthetics, food, and décor, the household manager will work collaboratively with the family, who will provide input and guidance. Please note that an existing estate manager will also be available to instruct and advise the new hire as needed. The manager will have autonomy on all logistics.
