Shipping & Receiving Associate
Job Summary:
This role will support all Parts Warehouse Shipping and Receiving operations. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated self-starter with a can-do attitude. We are also seeking candidates with inventory management experience and strong computer skills to join our team.
Responsibilities:
• Perform essential receiving functions including unloading trucks, identification of material, quality and quantity inspection, and stocking to warehouse shelves.
• Verifies receipt quantity against packing list and purchase order, immediately reports discrepancies to freight carrier, Receiving Clerk, and Purchasing Agent.
• Shares responsibility in inspecting incoming freight, annotating visible and/or possible internal damage on shipment Bill of Lading, and working with QC team.
• Responsible for safely putting materials away in the assigned locations.
• Process direct and indirect material requisitions from each worksite, shipping components in a timely manner, striving for a high level of accuracy.
• Perform essential shipping functions for Parts Department orders including preparing accurate freight quotes, pulling inventory, packaging freight orders, UPS (requires regular use of power tools), preparing shipping documents, shipping material, and maintaining / publishing outbound shipment logs.
• Opportunities for overtime, project work available.
• Additional duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
  • PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel are required.
  • Good communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
