Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role will provide support for outbound operations using the queue management system. Additionally, this position will aid in the selection, verification, and packaging of orders, ensuring they meet the specific specifications and requirements of the customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shift is Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

  • Maintain and organize daily dock assignments.

  • Conduct regular hourly checks of the dock area.

  • Read and interpret a variety of stage plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), or Work Instructions (WIs).

  • Engage in physical activities to sort and move products effectively.

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as RF devices, label machines, weight scales, and pallet jacks.

  • Re-box and label materials, conduct weight counts for sales orders, and transfer materials to staging areas.

  • Perform various duties, including organizing excess items from picking.

  • Enter data accurately, including completing daily production sheets and other necessary transactions.

  • Mark and tag containers with appropriate identifying information.

  • Assemble product containers as required.

  • Pack containers and re-pack damaged ones as needed.

  • Install protective devices, like bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.

  • Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.

  • Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.

  • Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.

  • Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

  • Able to work shift -Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 1 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.

  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Possesses effective verbal communication skills

  • Standing Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position

  • Walking, Reaching and Handling Must be able to frequently move about inside the warehouse to access product and machinery, etc. Must be able to stand and walk 60% of time, lift up to 40 lbs. normal, up to 70 lbs. less than 10% of time.

  • Seeing Frequently reads various documents and operates computer and other office tools/databases/equipment.

  • Talking and Hearing Frequently communicates with colleagues, co-workers, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
