Job description

Warehouse Associate

Compensation Pay Range: $22.15 - $26.15

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Performs distribution center material handling duties that support functions such as; Inbound, Outbound, Returns, Ocomm, City Counter, and Acquisitions operations within the distribution center. Responsible for processing and moving merchandise while maintaining inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Receive, unload, inspect, sort, stock, pick, pack, stage, and ship merchandise accurately and efficiently.
  • Match item numbers, quantities, manifests, freight bills, and shipping documentation with physical merchandise.
  • Process inbound shipments, outbound orders, store returns, warranty merchandise, acquisitions inventory, and vendor return according to O'Reilly policy.
  • Operate RF scanners, handheld devices, voice-picking systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and other warehouse technology as required.
  • Properly store and retrieve merchandise from floor locations, shelving, racking systems, and reserve storage areas.
  • Load and unload trailers, containers, route trucks, and freight shipments while ensuring merchandise is secured and protected from damage.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning, labeling, auditing, staging, and discrepancy resolution procedures.
  • Rebox, relabel, sort, and prepare merchandise for shipment or inventory placement as needed.
  • Process warranty merchandise, batteries, recalls, non-stock items, unsaleable merchandise, and vendor return goods according to O'Reilly policy.
  • Follow established procedures for hazardous material handling and disposal in accordance with O'Reilly safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy standards while completing assigned warehouse tasks and operational workflows.
  • Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of safety hazards.
  • Identify unsafe conditions or practices and report concerns to leadership promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with O'Reilly policies, operational procedures, and quality standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Experience

Required:
  • Ability to accurately match numerical and alphabetical information.
  • Follows established operational, safety, and quality procedures.
  • Maintain safe work environment, including but not limited to safely lifting, moving, and handling merchandise.
  • Willingness to learn warehouse systems, RF technology, and operational processes.
Desired:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Prior experience handling automotive parts or related merchandise.
  • Experience operating warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or voice-picking equipment.
  • Experience working within productivity, quality, or performance-driven environments.
  • Proficiency in one or more additional languages.
