Technicians in this division typically earn around $100,000 annually due to consistent overtime during travel periods

Travel weeks average 70 paid hours per week, while home-based weeks (in the shop) average 40 hours per week. This role requires up to 75% U.S.-wide travel. To support our field team, OTC provides an all-expenses-paid travel model designed to ensure your base hourly pay stays in your pocket

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our team, supporting automation systems and engineered mechanical solutions.

This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems related to industrial automation, robotics, conveyors, custom machinery, and other engineered solutions. FAT sites will be either Gallatin or Greenwood, with occasional FAT at the installation site. This position requires travel up to 75% of the time across the U.S., often to customer sites or project locations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, align, and assemble mechanical equipment such as automated machinery, robotics, conveyors, and custom mechanical systems Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and mechanical layouts Work closely with engineers, electricians, and automation technicians to implement complex mechanical systems Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with automated and engineered systems Utilize hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools to assemble and move mechanical equipment Ensure all mechanical systems meet safety and performance standards Assist with retrofitting existing systems for improved automation Maintain accurate reports and records of work Participate in product training and demonstrations, both in-lab and on-site Assist in lab clean-up and review for safety Perform other applicable duties as assigned Required Skills and Abilities Minimum 2 years experience in an industrial manufacturing and/or automation environment Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within the United States Willingness to work weekends, split shifts, daily overtime, and holidays as needed Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to diagnose and resolve equipment issues Experience disassembling/repairing equipment, replacing parts, reassembling, and performing testing Proficiency with wrenches, drivers, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and technical procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills in one-to-one and small group settings Experience in at least one preferred area: finishing processes/equipment, pumps and pump motors, tubing/piping installation Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) Ability to learn and use OTC systems to create and maintain service/repair records Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack Ability to meet all physical job requirements Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to work in environments with paint/solvent odors, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, painting chemicals, solvents, and electrical equipment Physical Demands Ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs; average lift less than 50 lbs Competencies Adaptability - Adjusts effectively to changing environments, responsibilities, and expectations Accuracy - Detects and prevents errors through standard checks and careful review Dependability - Follows instructions, keeps commitments, and meets deadlines Initiative - Takes independent action, identifies opportunities, and supports team needs Customer Service - Responds promptly to customer needs and seeks feedback for continuous improvement Problem Solving - Generates creative solutions and presents ideas clearly Planning/Organization - Prioritizes tasks, uses time efficiently, and sets realistic goals Communication & Interpersonal Skills - Communicates clearly and engages effectively in group settings Collaboration - Works well with others, builds relationships, and shows respect and empathy Why Join OTC Industrial Technologies.
