This includes fiber optic, copper, and wireless networks that are installed outside of buildings, such as underground or aerial cable routes. They coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and are delivered on time and within budget. Their role is critical in expanding and maintaining reliable communication networks.

Building strong relationships and maintaining open channels for feedback are essential for keeping projects on track and within budget.

To thrive as an OSP (Outside Plant) Design Manager, you need expertise in telecommunications engineering, OSP design standards, and project management, often supported by a degree in engineering or related field and relevant industry experience.
