JOB SPECIFICS

The OSF HealthCare Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship is a 12-month transition-to-practice program for new physician assistants. In this full-time, salaried position, we mentor advanced practice providers as they transition into practice and prepare them to become health care leaders.

  • The next Fellowship cohort runs from April 2027-March 2028.

  • Hiring for multiple positions. Application deadline 1/8/2027.

  • Our fellowship has Inpatient, Acute Care tracks in Adult Critical Care, Neonatal Critical Care, Pediatric Acute Care, Hospitalist Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

  • Rotations through a variety of locations in central Illinois

  • In-seat didactic each week with simulation, skills training, case-based learning, and specialty speakers in Peoria, Illinois

  • Full time, salaried position with full benefits including health insurance, time off, relocation assistance and student loan repayment counseling.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Licensed to provide physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987.

* Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.

* BLS/ACLS Certified.

* Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.

* Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
