Job description

Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a high-acuity, Level II trauma setting. This role is ideal for a surgeon experienced in managing complex traumatic injuries and performing life-saving procedures in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide surgical and non-surgical care for traumatic orthopedic injuries
Perform emergency and trauma-related procedures in high-acuity settings
Participate in shared trauma call rotation (including nights/weekends)
Collaborate with critical care, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine teams
Contribute to trauma quality improvement and registry activities
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Support teaching and mentorship (if applicable)
Qualifications:
MD/DO from an accredited institution
Board Certified/Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred
Active or eligible Florida medical license
ATLS certification required
Strong decision-making and communication skills in high-pressure environments
Preferred Experience:
2+ years post-fellowship trauma experience
Experience in a Level II Trauma Center
Familiarity with trauma registries and quality programs
