Position Overview
is seeking an experienced Operating Room Scrub Tech for a 13-week contract assignment. This role requires a skilled surgical technologist capable of independently scrubbing a wide variety of surgical procedures in a fast-paced and highly efficient operating room environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams while maintaining exceptional patient care and surgical support standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Independently scrub and assist with surgical procedures across multiple specialties
  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instrumentation
  • Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff during procedures
  • Support room turnover and cleaning between surgical cases
  • Transport patients as needed
  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
  • Participate in assigned call rotation schedules
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain surgical supplies
Surgical Specialties & Case Experience Required
Candidates must be experienced in scrubbing the following specialties:

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years recent scrub experience in a hospital operating room setting
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Active Hawaii State License required by assignment start date
    • Candidates without a Hawaii license must apply immediately upon offer acceptance
  • Strong experience in Endoscopy procedures preferred
  • Ability to take call with a 20-minute response time
Schedule & Call Requirements
  • Facility operating hours: 6:45 AM - 11:15 PM
  • Variable shifts based on department needs
  • Scheduled for approximately 40 hours weekly
  • Possibility of reduced hours during holiday weeks
  • Call coverage required:
    • Approximately 1-2 call shifts weekly
    • Up to 2 call weekends per month
  • Orientation will occur on day shift for up to one week or at manager discretion

is a busy and efficient surgical facility serving the East Region of Hawaii. The operating room includes outpatient GI labs and multiple simultaneously running procedure rooms, offering travelers exposure to a wide variety of surgical cases in a collaborative team environment.
Additional Information
  • Travelers must arrive the Thursday prior to start date for employee health clearance on Friday
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Holiday coverage required
  • Travelers requesting time off must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract duration
