We are seeking a Director of Marketing & Business Development to join our team of passionate patient caregivers! Weslaco, Texas!
Weslaco Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Weslaco, Texas provides compassionate inpatient rehabilitative care to the Rio Grande Valley community. As a specialized rehabilitation hospital, we help patients recover from strokes, neurological injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and other disabling conditions through intensive, individualized therapy programs. Our team of rehabilitation experts - including physiatrists, therapists, and nursing staff - works closely with each patient to regain strength, mobility, and functional skills, using the latest therapy techniques and equipment. Position Overview:
  • The Director of Marketing and Business Development (DMBD) is primarily responsible for the planning and execution of all marketing efforts including public relations, marketing, and sales, to ensure full occupancy of the facility.
  • Manages and directs the staff in the Marketing and Business Development Department to achieve budgeted volume goals for average daily census and admissions.
  • Provided administration with summaries and recommendations from market research evaluations. Coordinates the production and placement of advertisements.
  • Works in conjunction with clinical leadership to develop and promote new programs and services. Key responsibilities include managing and strategically directing all the functions of the Marketing and Admissions department, developing individual clinical liaison goals and monitoring results for sales calls, referrals, admissions, and out-patients visits, develops, and conducts ongoing marketing/sales training for marketing teams.

What you bring:
  • Licensed as a Nurse or Therapist, PT, OT, or SLP required. Pharmaceutical sales experience a plus.
  • Experience working in the medical environment promoting programs and services.
  • Ability to build strong relationships in an assigned territory utilizing clinical and selling skills.
  • Passionate patient advocate assisting in the referral to admission process.
  • Strong clinical skills with a mindset for business development.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
  • Three to five years current experience in healthcare required, preferably in a hospital setting or sales.
  • Strong background in client services and relationship management preferred.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • Current, valid, and active driver's license, auto insurance, and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare field, marketing, or related field preferred.
