DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

Director of Admissions & Marketing

The Mizrahi Family Torah Academy (MFTA)- Plantation, Florida

Mizrahi Family Torah Academy is a growing Orthodox yeshiva day school serving families throughout South Florida — from Hollywood and North Miami to Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Coral Springs, and beyond. Located in scenic Plantation, minutes from Fort Lauderdale Airport, MTA is building a distinctive, values-driven educational experience and entering an exciting stage of expansion.

We are seeking a dynamic, mission-aligned Director of Admissions & Marketing to help shape our next phase of growth.

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who combines strategic vision, strong communication skills, graphic and marketing ability, and warm relationship-building capacity — and who understands the landscape of yeshiva day schools and Torah education.

We have a truly unique mission and school to be able to market, in a wholesome environment focused on true Chinuch and a focus on the individual.

Position Overview

This role has two equal and complementary areas of focus:

1️⃣ Admissions & Recruitment Leadership (Front-End Growth)
  • Serve as the primary ambassador for prospective families

  • Cultivate warm, authentic relationships from first inquiry through enrollment and onboarding

  • Guide families through the full admissions process with clarity, professionalism, and follow-through

  • Revamp, monitor, and streamline admissions systems internally and externally

  • Maintain consistent communication between parents, administration, and faculty during screening and onboarding

  • Develop and execute strategic recruitment efforts for targeted demographics

  • Plan, market, and run compelling Open Houses and recruitment events

  • Build and maintain relationships with local rabbonim, shuls, community leaders, and organizations to strengthen visibility and gather meaningful feedback

2️⃣ Marketing & Brand Strategy (Backend Vision & Visibility)
  • Develop and execute a proactive marketing and communications strategy

  • Create polished flyers, promotional materials, and branded program designs

  • Write and submit compelling PR stories, articles, and highlights to Jewish magazines, newspapers, and local publications

  • Oversee ad placement and updates in print and digital media

  • Manage social media and community messaging platforms with strategic consistency

  • Update and utilize the school website to effectively showcase programs, values, and student life

  • Proactively generate content — photos, stories, features — that communicate MTA’s unique strengths

  • Ensure deadlines are met and projects are followed through with professionalism

Qualifications
  • Strong graphic design skills and proficiency with design platforms (Canva, Adobe, etc.)

  • Excellent writing and communication ability

  • Highly organized with strong deadline management

  • Strategic thinker who can build and promote a brand

  • Warm, charismatic interpersonal skills with strong relationship-building capacity

  • Experience in admissions, marketing, communications, or community outreach preferred

  • Torah background and familiarity with the yeshiva day school environment required

  • Alignment with the mission and values of Orthodox Jewish education

Team Culture & Flexibility

As part of a collaborative and growing school environment, this role includes shared front-office support responsibilities as needed. While admissions and marketing leadership remain the primary focus, we value team members who are flexible, proactive, and invested in the overall success of the school.

Why This Role Matters

This is not simply an admissions coordinator or marketing assistant position. It is an opportunity to:

  • Shape the public voice of a rising yeshiva day school

  • Build enrollment strategy from the ground up

  • Strengthen community partnerships

  • Help more families discover a unique Torah and academic experience

The right candidate will have real influence and the ability to make measurable impact.
