What You’ll Do
As an Orthodontic Assistant, you’ll work closely with our doctor and team to help create confident smiles while developing valuable clinical skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the doctor chairside during patient appointments
- Preparing treatment areas and ensuring instruments and equipment are properly sterilized
- Taking extraoral radiographs and intraoral photographs
- Maintaining accurate patient records and treatment progress notes
- Assisting with orthodontic procedures, including:
- Changing color ties
- Changing wires
- Fitting bands
- Taking impressions
- Digital impression scanning
- Educating patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
- Supporting our digital workflow, including 3D printing and fabrication of orthodontic appliances
- Anticipating the needs of patients and teammates to help appointments run smoothly
