Are you an experienced dental front-office professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you have strong knowledge of specialty scheduling, dental insurance, and patient coordination?


Wave Dental Specialists is a busy, growing multi-specialty dental practice in Dearborn Heights, MI. We are looking for a confident, organized, and patient-focused Patient Coordinator to join our team and help create an exceptional experience from the moment patients walk through our doors.

What You’ll Do
  • Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional experience at check-in and check-out
  • Coordinate appointments and treatment schedules across multiple specialties, including Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, and more
  • Manage referrals and coordinate care between referring offices, specialists, and patients
  • Verify dental insurance benefits and assist with pre-authorizations and treatment estimates
  • Submit and follow up on insurance claims and outstanding balances
  • Collect patient payments accurately and professionally
  • Maintain accurate patient records, insurance information, and appointment documentation
  • Communicate closely with clinical teams to ensure schedules stay organized and efficient
  • Help patients navigate their specialty treatment experience from referral through completion
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of dental front-office experience required
  • Multi-specialty or specialty dental experience required
  • Strong understanding of dental insurance, verification, billing, and claims
  • Experience with PPO and Medicaid insurance is a plus
  • Open Dental experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Professional, dependable, and positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
