To thrive as an Orthodontic Lab Technician, you need strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a background in dental technology, often supported by a dental lab technician program or certification. Familiarity with dental lab equipment, digital imaging software, and CAD/CAM systems is typically required. Excellent time management, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with dental professionals help you stand out in this role. What is an orthodontic lab?

An orthodontic lab is a specialized facility where technicians create custom dental appliances such as braces, retainers, aligners, and expanders according to an orthodontist's specifications.
