Job Description

Friendly, reputable ORTHODONTIC PRACTICE with one office location (no travel) in northwest Tampa (Westchase/Citrus Park) is seeking a professional, experienced FULL-TIME CERTIFIED ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT. This position is available for a self-motivated, fast paced team player with excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities. Applicant must be dependable and have excellent communication skills, outgoing personality and willingness to provide exceptional customer service to our patients.
Looking for Clinical Orthodontic assistant with the following qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience as an orthodontic assistant (preferably orthodontic certified)
Knowledge of dental and orthodontic terminology
Greeting patients and parents in a friendly manner
Accurately recording treatment notes in practice management software (Dolphin Management software)
Take diagnostic records including digital x-rays (panoramic & cephalometric), digital extraoral/intraoral photographs and digital impression scanning (iTero)
Assisting the orthodontist in a variety of orthodontic procedures such placement of braces and aligners
Clearly explain oral hygiene procedures and orthodontic appliance care to the patient and parents
Knowledge of infection control procedures
CPR certification
Expanded functions dental assistant (EFDA) certification
X-ray certification
Computer skills and knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Customer service skills: answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking insurance benefits
Willingness to help market the practice
Position will require:
4 days/week, open Monday through Thursday (average 33-35 hours/week)
Average work-day is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (7:30 am to 5:00 pm on Monday)
Responsibilities: Clinical, Clerical, Marketing and Maintaining Office

Salary Range

Full-time $19 - $23 per hour
