Work Environment

This is an onsite position based in Metuchen, New Jersey, primarily providing home care services. You will engage with patients in their residences, utilizing your skills in a real-world context that fosters personal connections and direct impact on patient recovery. With flexible scheduling and variable weekends, this role grants you the opportunity to manage your time effectively while delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing specific functional limitations and rehabilitation goals.
  • Provide ongoing assessments and progress reports, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to coordinate a seamless continuum of care.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, progress, and home care strategies to encourage active participation in recovery.
  • Document all interactions, treatment outcomes, and billing in both written and electronic formats, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Mentor and supervise assigned support staff, ensuring a cohesive team-oriented approach to patient care.
  • Engage in leadership activities such as community outreach, marketing efforts, and program development to advance departmental goals.
  • Participate in professional development activities, including in-services and continuing education programs, to maintain licensure and improve clinical skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions, focusing on their unique rehabilitation journeys. Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
