Regional Field Organizer

Florida Democratic Party

Miami, FL • On-site

Full-time

Posted 19 days ago

Job description

Florida families are paying more for housing, insurance, groceries, and gas than ever before. Access to a quality education has been gutted while Republicans play politics with our schools. It's imperative that we elect leaders who will fight to right the course.

Florida is at an inflection point. After years of being written off nationally, Florida Democrats are running ahead of the national environment. We've flipped 30 seats from red to blue since 2024, and we have a real opening to win up and down the ballot this November. We're not wasting it.

This position will be in a key Congressional district, with goals centered on executing a field strategy through community-based organizing, volunteer recruitment, and Vote-by-Mail enrollment in priority communities. The Regional Field Organizer will lead the development and execution of field strategies by coordinating regional organizing efforts with the existing coordinated infrastructure as well as community partners.

NOTE: The ideal candidate for this position will be located in either Seminole, Orange, Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, or Osceola.

Schedule Expectations

* This is a high-intensity, elections-focused organizing role with a schedule driven by field operations, community engagement opportunities, and voter contact needs.

* Applicants should expect the schedule to become more demanding as elections approach, with significantly extended working hours during peak periods.

* Because this position is responsible for volunteer management and community engagement, regular evening and weekend work is required throughout the year.

* This role is best suited for candidates who are able to fully commit to a nontraditional, campaign-style schedule and understand the time demands required to build and lead large-scale volunteer organizing programs.

* Support additional projects and organizing priorities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive volunteer leadership development across your district. Help cultivate groups of volunteers who recruit and host their own events, expanding the program's reach beyond what paid staff can accomplish alone.
  • Hit and grow weekly contact goals. Meet voter contact goals that increase week over week, tracking progress closely, intervening early when things go off course, and proposing solutions when they do.
  • Attend and support field events strategically. Prioritize which canvasses and phonebanks to attend in person to maximize volunteer retention and leadership development across a large region.
  • Root your program in local party infrastructure. Work within county party structures to build volunteer teams that stay engaged after November, creating lasting capacity for the Florida Democratic Party.

You're a Great Fit If

  • You're dedicated to building a strong Democratic Party and electing Democrats up and down the ballot. You're committed to fighting for a better future for Florida families and championing our Party's values.
  • You're an exceptional trainer and coach. You know how to get people comfortable doing hard things fast, and you have a track record of helping volunteers and organizers find their footing and succeed.
  • You develop leadership in others. You're skilled at identifying potential in the people around you, whether staff or volunteers, and cultivating it deliberately.
  • You're analytically sharp and quick to course correct. You use data and reporting systems to catch problems early, and you're fast to flag when something is off track and propose a fix.
  • You're a compelling communicator. You can confidently speak to a voter, volunteer, community leader, or staff member and motivate them to take action.
  • You're ready for a demanding campaign schedule. You thrive in a high-intensity environment.

This is an election position lasting through November, 2026. Compensation for the position will be $5350/month plus health insurance benefits.

Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder, per FEC regulations
