Job description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number T5127P01 and is part of the KS United States Property And Fiscal Office, National Guard.Qualifications:GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Must have general experience that demonstrates you have the ability to:
  1. Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
  2. Plan and organize work; and
  3. Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  4. Skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately;
  5. Skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material;
  6. Skill in presenting formal training presentations and briefings;
  7. Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats.
Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Musthave at least one year experience equivalent to the next higher level, with the fundamental working experiences practices, methods, and techniques of finance and accounting processes. Must be skilled in planning and developing the analysis, reviews, and examinations of pay accounts, interpreting findings, and developing or modifying methods and techniques to resolve a variety of identified problems/issues. Skill in utilizing computer assisted techniques, statistical sampling, interviews of required personnel, and/or other methods of obtaining required data.Education:Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university in the amounts shown in the table meets the requirements for positions at GS-09. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Completed undergraduate or graduate education, the awarded college degree should be in one of, or a combination of the following disciplines: accounting, business, finance, economics, math, statistics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management
GS-9master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if relatedEmployment Type: OTHER
