The Role

The position is to Develop and manage a full-service Professional Beauty Direct to Salon Sales team within the province of Ontario. The position also includes responsibility to manage some National Accounts within Canada for the professional beauty business.

Core hours are Monday through Friday, however there may be a few mandatory special events on evenings and/or weekends as well as occasional meetings in Toronto and LA requiring travel and overnight stays.

Core Objectives: Drive profitable net sales growth across Direct-to-Salon and National Accounts through disciplined sales execution, conversion programs, and portfolio expansion. Build and sustain long-term professional salon partnerships, positioning Wella as a strategic business partner. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring strong accountability, engagement, and capability development. Translate data, insights, and field feedback into clear action plans that improve sell-in, sell-through, and category performance.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Sales Organization Manager responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor an established selling team of 7 people (Currently)
  • Develop and own sales targets by utilizing digital tools and communicate month objectives
  • Collaborate with Field group for feedback, action plans
  • Review sales and inventory data, seeking out sales opportunities
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Service) to address key business issues and opportunitiesTarget, profile, and work to convert key prospective salons into customers
  • Create value for customers by leveraging programs such as Wella Rewards points.
  • Deliver new initiatives and promotions to the team and create sell in and sell through tactics
  • Manage all day-to-day business details such as team's route planning, order entry, sales expenses and budgets
  • Monthly Top to Top review with one up manager detailing opportunities and obstacles
  • Additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Operate in line with company policies for travel, expenses, business conduct

National Account Manager responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Lead nationwide sales customer to achieve sales targets
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Manage, develop, and oversee the promotional calendar with the customer. Work closely with Customer service ensuring promotions executed within the given timelines
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and develop improvement strategies improvements
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency to consumer
  • Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure customers are on board
  • Monthly Top to Top review with one up manager detailing opportunities and obstacles

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills
  • Minimum of 2 years people manager experience
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Copilot and Social Media
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or experience in B2B sales
  • Professional beauty experiences an asset but not required
