Pay & FSLA Status: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, D.O.E.; Salary exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager or VP of Sales, the Multi-Family (MF) Channel Specialist is responsible for driving growth in our exterior door business within the multi-family new construction and remodeling market within their assigned territory. This role is responsible for creating demand, expanding market share, and developing strategic partnerships that deliver sustainable, profitable growth. This position will work closely with existing developers, general contractors, builders, and remodelers while actively prospecting for new partners. Success in this role requires the ability to uncover new customer segments, build compelling growth plans, and collaborate with internal teams to execute at a high level—ultimately driving incremental revenue and increasing margin dollars.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development, Demand Creation & Strategic Growth
  • Drive demand and sales growth for exterior door products within the multi-family construction, remodeling, and replacement markets through strategic market development and customer engagement. Manage created demand by pulling that business through the appropriate down channel suppliers and tracking that pipeline from beginning to end.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, builders, contractors, remodelers, dealers, and other channel partners to drive product specification, adoption, and long-term revenue growth.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new customers, dealer partners, and market opportunities aligned with company growth and profitability objectives.
  • Create and execute comprehensive, data-driven growth plans designed to expand market share, increase product mix, grow share of wallet, and maximize customer performance.
  • Conduct market analysis, project tracking, pipeline development, and jobsite engagement to uncover emerging opportunities and secure early-stage specifications that remain throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote and position product value propositions including performance, design, lifecycle benefits, and overall market differentiation through a consultative selling approach.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing expertise on product offerings, specifications, codes, merchandising, and market positioning while ensuring customers have a thorough understanding of available solutions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and effectively communicate OrePac’s value proposition to customers and prospects.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, supply partners, and outside sales personnel to share market intelligence, coordinate opportunities, and support successful project execution.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to customer needs, concerns, and opportunities to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and sustained business growth.
  • Manage comprehensive project pipeline from engagement through closing stages of work.
Revenue & Margin Growth
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by generating incremental revenue across assigned territory and increasing market penetration.
  • Drive margin dollar growth through effective pricing strategies and product mix optimization.
  • Promote value-based selling to strengthen pricing discipline and reduce margin erosion.
  • Continuously monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Identify and capture incremental revenue opportunities within existing and new accounts, including cross-selling and upselling product lines.
  • Partner closely with company locations, operations, sales, and customer support teams to ensure seamless execution and an effective and productive working relationship.
  • Align sales strategies with internal capabilities, inventory, and service levels.
  • Communicate customer needs and market feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Support coordinated efforts across branches to deliver consistent and high-quality customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with estimating, operations, and customer service teams to support multi-family project execution.
  • Establish memberships with industry appropriate organizational groups and associations. Represent OrePac and Therma Tru at networking and educational industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Regular joint planning and field sales calls with company account executives and Therma Tru Strategic Account Managers.
  • Forecast and report incoming business activity monthly, quarterly, and as required by sales leadership. Includes completing a quarterly business review with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Maintain a solid knowledge of digital tools to measure results and effectively manage performance of your account base.
  • Follow company-prescribed methods of tracking daily activities for later reporting accountability purposes.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline, including project-based forecasting tied to multi-family opportunities.

  • Ability to travel (expected to be in the field 75% of the time) throughout the sales territory.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in building materials, remodeling, construction, or related industries.
  • Proven success in growing revenue and margin in a competitive market.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the multi-family construction and/or remodeling market.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell value and maintain margin integrity.
  • Experience working with dealer networks, contractors, or distribution channels preferred.
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be accepted in place of the education and/or experience requirements listed for this role.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This position operates in a professional office environment, lumber yard, retail warehouse, and project job site environment.

  • The work environment is generally quiet but can be loud in the lumber yard, project and job site, and retail warehouse environment.
  • This position requires travel throughout the assigned territory at least 75% of the time.
