GeoLogics is working with a top Aerospace and Defense client looking for a Technician III in Maple Grove, MN.
Role: Technician III
Client: Top Aerospace and Defense company
Location: Maple Grove, MN
Schedule: 9/80
Education: 2-year technical degree or a minimum of 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in production or prototype environment.
Contract Length: 1 year with possibility of extension
Rate: Up to $35 (per hour on a non-benefitted W2 contract)

Job Description:
GeoLogics is seeking an experienced technician to work in its Pilot Production Line performing assembly and test of complex electro-mechanical assembly of electronic products and support equipment. Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and be able to follow written and verbal work instructions. Be able and willing to work additional hours when required, including weekends.
- Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance systems
- Performs a variety of duties assisting team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, troubleshooting and problem solving transitioning new products into production.
Skills Required:
- Proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
- Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, test with near zero defects.
- Must be able to demonstrate high degree of mechanical aptitude and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
- Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (ie.Scopes, meters, etc) and generate test report data.
- Must demonstrate ability to read and use mechanical assembly and measurement tools such as micrometers and torque wrenches.
- Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lb.
Skills Preferred:
- Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication and test improvements.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve assembly issues.
- Automated Test Equipment operator experience.
- Troubleshooting of electronic, electrical systems.
- Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
- Understanding basic machining techniques.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.
