Job description

ORDER SELECTOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for Order Selectors with leadership skills for a company based in Plant City, FL. In this job, you will have the opportunity to work for a leading producer of fresh produce. 
 
Pay Rate 
$15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
 
Schedule and Hours 
Monday to Saturday from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, overtime required as needed. 
Monday to Saturday from 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM, overtime required as needed. 
 
Order Selector Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Responsible for selecting orders, focusing on the handling of fresh produce. 
  • Pull orders from cooler and stage accurately for each order.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize pick lists and handheld scanners to accurately select and assemble customer orders based on product specifications and quantity requirements.
  • Inspect and verify products for quality, freshness, and accuracy before packing and shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding safety, sanitation, and inventory management.
 
Order Selector Qualifications and Requirements 
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment. 
  • 2+ years’ experience as a warehouse order selector or similar role in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the food or produce industry.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding role.
  • Proficiency in using handheld scanners.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in product selection and order fulfillment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
