Job in a Nutshell: 

The Vitamin Order Puller position is responsible for processing and packing orders at the Natural Grocers Distribution Center in Golden.  Duties include receiving, inspection and put-away of inbound products; maintaining accurate inventory and documentation; processing, filling and staging orders accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

Receiving

  • Promptly transfer inbound orders from receiving to the vitamin / supplements area for processing
  • Receive, unpack, and examine goods for any damages or expiration dates
  • Isolate any damaged or expired goods; report to vendor and purchasing for disposition
  • Process any return orders as necessary
  • Check packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy and report any discrepancies to purchasing immediately
  • Enter goods into SAP system
  • Complete necessary paperwork, and send to corporate office for processing
  • Process purchase orders from stores to create outbound pick lists via SAP
  • Accurately fill orders for stores; pack orders safely for shipping
  • Clearly mark finished packages with store identification and stage packages in proper locations
  • Complete and maintain records of outbound delivery numbers

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain good housekeeping and records in the vitamin and body care department
  • Maintain receiving logs, outbound delivery logs, and housekeeping logs
  • Provide clear and professional communication with corporate office, stores, managers, coworkers and vendors at all times
  • Perform all operations in a manner that promotes safety
  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • May be assigned to other warehouse tasks such as inventory and bulk order pulling

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Basic computer skills required; written communication and ability to learn SAP is required
  • Ability to follow written work instructions as provided is required
  • Prior order pulling / warehouse experience preferred
  • Previous forklift experience preferred; must be certified by NGVC
  • Good attention to detail required; accuracy and thoroughness is a must
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility with working hours to accommodate warehouse needs
  • Able to work in seasonally warm or cool environment
  • Able to assist in other departments as needed
  • Previous experience with inventory required. Experience with SAP a plus
  • Must have current Colorado Driver's License and reliable transportation

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must have the ability to frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
    • Must have the ability to frequently push or pull up to 100 lbs.
    • Requires the use of both arms and both hands with full range of motion.
    • Must be able to frequently use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
    • Must be able to constantly stand for the durations of the work shift.
    • Must be able to frequently walk
    • Must be able to occasionally sit, use fine motor manipulations, grip, squat, kneel, bend, twist, turn, reach outward, and reach above chest as needed.

    Environmental Requirements:

    • Must be able to occasionally work with sharp tools and equipment, noise, vibration, and congested worksite.
