Job description

Job Summary:

Process commercial real estate loan data into required computer systems. Perform accurate and timely loan boarding, payment processing, account and system reconciliations. Prepare and process deposits, journals, payment requisitions related to escrows and wires. Support activities to contribute to the efficient and effective operations of the loan servicing department.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities: (List essential functions of the job and approx. percentage of time spent on each activity; describe what must be accomplished, not how it must be done)


30% Process commercial real estate loan data into required computer systems. Borrower, property, loan and escrow data is entered into systems and verified for accuracy. Perform accurate and timely processing and balancing of mortgage loan servicing transactions including; regular monthly payments, partial and full payoffs, prepayment charges, adjustments, late charges, service fees, and related transactions. Maintain organized records of daily processing and account reconciliations.


30% Reconcile and balance cash in selected bank accounts against daily processing, identify outages, transfer funds appropriately between bank accounts, and prepare timely reports for management. Work with Corporate Financial Services and Financial Analysts to research and resolve banking and General Ledger account outages related to Loan Servicing transactions.


20% Perform various loan servicing functions including ordering of tax contracts, payment of property taxes, and review and processing of insurance renewals. Support the Loan Servicing Specialists and Mortgage Escrow Analyst and Servicer in the areas of escrow analysis, collections, delinquent taxes, and new loans.


10% Prepare journal entries, deposits and check requisitions to support timely processing into the general ledger and by the bank. Ensure compliance with internal controls over processes. Perform varied administrative and clerical duties including, but not limited to, creating correspondence, scanning, photocopying, filing, distributing mail and faxes, preparing and sending mail, faxes and packages for delivery and maintain office equipment.


10% Participate in assigned projects to support the investor development, servicing and

investment operations departments.
