Order Management Manager

Every signed contract at Fastly passes through one critical checkpoint before it becomes revenue: Order Management. We're looking for an experienced Order Management Manager to be the senior hands-on expert that manages that process: taking signed contracts, validating everything for completeness and accuracy, and moving each opportunity to Closed-Won with data that's right the first time. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Transformation, you'll be a true right hand: bringing structure and organization to how the work gets done day to day, and setting the standard for data integrity and fidelity. As a public company, our order data underpins invoicing, revenue recognition, sales compensation, and the metrics we report to investors, so the details matter here, and so does seeing how they connect to the bigger picture. If you take pride in zero-error execution and love building order out of complexity, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of order management, setting priorities, keeping work moving, clearing exceptions, and driving month/quarter-end close readiness in close partnership with the Director
  • Serve as the senior reviewer on contract-to-CRM validation - verifying line items, subscription dates, quantities, and billing terms against signed contracts, and giving the final quality sign-off before opportunities move to Closed-Won
  • Represent order management in cross-functional interactions and handoffs with Sales, Sales Ops, Deal Desk, Billing, and Revenue Accounting, and partnering with Business Systems to automate the work
  • Serve as a point of escalation and subject-matter expert on order exceptions, opportunity revisions, bookings calculations, and order issues
  • Help shape how the process runs: designing process improvements,  and maintaining the documentation, checklists, controls, and operational metrics that make data completeness, accuracy, and fidelity non-negotiable

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in Order Management, Quote-to-Cash, or Deal Desk at a B2B SaaS or technology company leveraging Salesforce; ideally in a lead, or final-reviewer capacity where your sign-off carried weight
  • Comfortable leading through influence rather than authority. You've earned trust as the go-to person on a process, and you raise the people around you through clear perspectives, thoughtful feedback, and consistent standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a genuine commitment to data completeness, accuracy, and fidelity. You catch what others miss and understand why it matters downstream
  • Highly organized and process-driven. You bring structure, documentation, and a reliable operating cadence to the work around you, and others come to depend on you for it
  • Ability to see the big picture: you understand how your work ripples across the broader order-to-cash process and the teams downstream of it, and you surface process gaps, with a recommendation, before they become problems

We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

  • Working in a public company or SOX-compliant environment with audit-ready controls and documentation
  • Supporting data governance or master data management initiatives
  • Driving or co-leading process improvement and automation initiatives that measurably reduced manual work and error rates
  • Helping scale or build an order management or quote-to-cash process through a period of high growth, reorganization, or system migration

Work Hours:

  • This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements:

This position has one opening and can be hired in the following preferred office locations:

  • San Francisco, CA
  • New York, NY

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $133,200.00 to $159,840.00.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly's equity and discretionary bonus programs.

Benefits:

We care about you. Fastly works hard to create a positive environment for our employees, and we think your life outside of work is important too. We support our teams with great benefits that start on the first day of your employment with Fastly. Curious about our offerings?

We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
