The Delivery Driver will be responsible for transporting products to and from customer locations, ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries. In addition to driving, this role includes assisting with order picking and warehouse tasks. Operates commercial vehicles such as box trucks and flatbeds.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product Delivery: Safely transport products from the branch to customer locations, ensuring on-time deliveries and proper handling of goods.

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, report any issues, and maintain cleanliness.

  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction with the delivery process.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery notes, customer signatures, and any additional required paperwork.

  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload products, ensuring all items match delivery paperwork and are secured for transport.

  • Picking and Packing: Assist with picking and packing customer orders accurately from the warehouse to ensure efficient branch operations.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure safe driving and adherence to company safety policies.

  • Certifications: Obtain and maintain required license endorsements and certifications, including HAZMAT, as determined by the company.

  • Compliance: Drivers must adhere to all regulations and safety requirements for their vehicle type. This includes following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for DOT and CDL drivers and ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, load security, and compliance with all traffic laws. Each driver must maintain the appropriate certifications and endorsements for their vehicle class to ensure safe and efficient deliveries.

  • Branch Support: Assist with various warehouse duties such as receiving, stocking products, picking and packing orders, inventory management, and general warehouse maintenance, as needed.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in a Warehouse environment

  • Experience driving delivery vehicles (box trucks, vans, etc.) is a plus.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) regularly.

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude during customer interactions.

  • Willingness to assist with warehouse operations, including order picking, when necessary.

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license
  • CDL B
