If you've worked in warehouse associate jobs, warehouse worker roles, or distribution center environments, you understand how important every step of the process is.This Warehouse Specialist role supports internal warehouse operations focused on stocking, pulling inventory and shipping product to other Saf-Gard locations and retail partners. Just good people working together to solve problems and support our customers.What You'll DoStocking (Inbound & Warehouse Operations)Receive and unload incoming shipments (loading dock operations)Stock product into warehouse aisles and maintain organized inventory locationsConsolidate and reorganize aisles for efficiency and inventory accuracyFollow daily direction from team leads on stocking prioritiesSupport general warehouse operations and stock replenishmentPulling (Outbound Internal Distribution)Pull products based on priority orders, including backorders and replenishment requestsSupport high-priority order fulfillment when large internal orders require full-team supportPrepare outbound shipments for other Saf-Gard warehouse locations, including New Castle and other non-Delaware sitesPrint and manage labels for outbound shipments (warehouse management system / WMS activity)Stage product for shipment and ensure correct order accuracyWrap and palletize outbound product for transport (packing and shipping / outbound logistics)Coordinate movement of product to internal distribution locationsWhat We're Looking ForExperience in warehouse jobs, warehouse worker roles, warehouse specialist, or material handler positionsAbility to perform order picking, stocking, and shipping and receiving tasksComfortable working in a fast-paced distribution center environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy and quality controlAbility to work in a physically active role including lifting, stacking, and palletizingWillingness to learn warehouse systems and processes (WMS experience a plus)Reliable, team-oriented and able to work independently when neededPreferred QualificationsExperience with order picker, warehouse operations or inventory control systemsFamiliarity with cycle counts, stock replenishment, or outbound logisticsPrevious experience in internal distribution or inter-warehouse shippingExperience using warehouse management systems (WMS)Experience working in high-volume warehouse environmentsScheduleFull-time positionWeekend availability requiredSchedules are subject to change; confirmation provided prior to interviewCompensation & BenefitsCompany-paid dental, vision, long-term disability, short-term disability, and life insurance beginning the first of the month after 60 daysMulti-tiered medical insurance plans to choose from (benefits valued at over $10,000 annually)8 paid holidays per yearPTO available after 90 days (3.08 hours per pay period; approx. 1.5 weeks annually), with opportunities to earn additional PTO based on tenure401(k) plan with 50% employer match on first 6% of employee base payAbout Saf-GardWe've been in the safety footwear business for more than 40 years.
