Job description

ONLY APPLICANTS SELECTED FOR AN INTERVIEW WILL BE NOTIFIED

Responsible for the care and maintenance of the golf balls, carts, and range.  Performs other duties as required by the Golf Shop Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job’s overall responsibilities.)

•    DRIVING RANGE:  
o    Pick the driving range clean at least once a day. 
o    Wash the range balls, removing any poor quality or non-range balls and fill the ball machine as required.
o    Remove all empty baskets from the driving range and place in racks next to the ball machine.
•    CART BARN:
o    Check condition of the Picker Cart as well as the Picker.
o    Make sure battery, oil levels, tires and other cart parts are in proper working order.
o    Ensure that the Range Ball Machine is clean and working properly.  Service the machine as required.
o    Clean all rental carts and make sure that all are in proper working order. Insure that the carts are rotated to ensure equal use and charging
o    Routinely check and service range equipment.
o    Place scorecards and pencils in all carts; clean and drain ball washer at the end of the each day
o    Repair any minor problems or report to the Supervisor any conditions that will require the assistance from the Golf Cart Mechanic.
o    Ensure all carts, balls and other equipment is properly stored and the cart barn is secured before leaving the property.
o    Maintain a clean and orderly garage.
•    GENERAL:
o    Gas all fleet golf carts as well as rolling stock once per week and record.
o    Report all unsafe conditions or deficiencies to Supervisor.
o    Maintains consistent record of acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Arizona driver's license and good driving record for insurance purposes.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Sufficient Training and education to demonstrate possession of required knowledge, skills and qualifications are required. 
•    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
•    Should have excellent customer service skills, along with basic mechanical skills.
•    Ability to work under stressful situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and indoor and outdoor settings with moderate to loud levels of noise.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pull, push, or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulders and talk or hear and an ability to taste and smell. The employee will be sitting or standing for extended periods of time.  
The individual must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  
Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects and tools to include computers and office equipment.  Vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
