JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS:

Will remove material from stock working from order cut schedules and written instructions; spooling and cutting finished cables to length per customer needs.

Visually inspects cable for damages and/or short lengths advising supervision of any deficiency.

Will be responsible to aide in the packaging and lagging of reels in preparation for shipping.

At times will be required to aid in loading truck or be a spotter during loading.

Will perform preventive maintenance procedures, 6S activities and participate in continuous improvement events.

Must always maintain work area in a safe and orderly condition.

Ensure all products meet requirements as defined by the Plant's Quality Management Systems.

Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.

Will be required to work overtime as needed.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.

Requirements:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.

Experience:

Some manufacturing experience or proven/demonstrated mechanical ability.

Must complete on job training (OJT) for specific job classification as required in a timely manner.

Skills/Attributes:

Must be able to use pneumatic tools, such as air nail guns and hand drills.

Must be able to train for forklift licensed or certification.

Must be able to work independently according to verbal and written instructions.

Must learn basic computer transactions and inputs; must have ability to become certified SAP User.

Must have basic math and communication skills. Must develop and maintain proficiency in required job skills.

Must be capable of lifting or moving 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting or moving 75 lbs.

Must be able to distinguish different colors

Wage Range: $20.88 to $24.66
