Warehouse Supervisor – 2nd & 3rd Shifts

We’re working with a major food manufacturer that’s seeking Warehouse supervisors for their 2nd and 3rd shifts. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a state-of-the-art facility, contributing to the optimization of a major food production network in North America. This role will oversee all areas of the warehouse in a 24/7 operation, ensuring seamless operations in shipping, receiving, inventory and sanitation services. This is an essential position for someone ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily distribution center functions by overseeing inbound materials, outbound deliveries, inventory control, storage practices, and facility cleanliness to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Mentor and develop warehouse personnel by providing ongoing coaching, technical instruction, and performance feedback while building bench strength and preparing employees for future advancement opportunities.
  • Ensure all inventory movements and order transactions are completed accurately within business systems, maintaining data integrity for receipts, shipments, stock adjustments, and customer issue resolution while supporting high service standards.
  • Coordinate shift operations by organizing labor resources, balancing workloads, and maintaining effective communication between teams to ensure seamless transitions and consistent operational performance.
  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring service, productivity, and inventory performance metrics, improving order fulfillment accuracy, product traceability, inventory rotation, equipment utilization, and overall warehouse effectiveness while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce operating costs.
  • Build a high-performing team through talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, skills development, and performance coaching, fostering a culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and long-term retention.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain operations, with good manufacturing practices (food industry experience is a plus).
  • Proven experience leading teams within a distribution, logistics, fulfillment, or materials management environment, with direct people leadership responsibilities beyond lead or coordinator roles.
  • Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).
  • Working knowledge of workplace safety programs, injury response procedures, and return-to-work practices is beneficial. Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is an advantage.
  • Understanding of quality and sanitation expectations within a manufacturing setting, including adherence to standardized operating procedures and product integrity requirements.
  • Qualified to safely operate powered material-handling equipment, or able to obtain the necessary certification after hire.
  • Experience utilizing computerized inventory, warehouse, or logistics software to manage product movement and inventory accuracy. Exposure to enterprise resource planning platforms is considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact across all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities shift frequently, with the ability to guide teams through operational changes while maintaining productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities, make sound decisions under pressure, and consistently meet operational deadlines.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a regular presence in the operation, actively engaging with frontline employees to provide direction, support, and coaching.
