Order Entry Pharmacy Technician

Our pharmacy was established in Wilmington, DE by pharmacists who share a passion for providing patient-centric and specialized care to patients requiring long term care in the Mid-Atlantic Region (DE, MD, NJ, PA).

About the Role

This is a full-time on-site role as an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician at Chesapeake Regional Rx in Wilmington, DE. As a key team member, you will be responsible for tasks related to order entry and ensuring accuracy in prescription processing to support the healthcare needs of our clients.

What You'll Do

As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for accurately entering prescription orders and collaborating with the pharmacy team to support the medication dispensing process in our closed-door pharmacy. Our team is dedicated to ensuring order accuracy, working closely with pharmacists, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and triage customer service requests based on department, urgency, and required information or response.
  • Calculate and verify correct medication dosages according to prescriptions.
  • Provide dispensing pharmacists with critical information on allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other computer-generated alerts.
  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
