Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Actively support sales functions while developing selling skills to aid and advance the sales teams. Cover routes for territory sales reps while on PTO, temporary leave or project based focus events. Merchandising support in territory while not covering routes and support sales initiatives and special projects.

Core Job Functions

• Perform sales functions across the division to support route coverage

• Manage selling activities within the accounts to include order mgmt, merchandising, signage utilization, program execution, promotional activity, and Accounts Receivables

• Account and brand prospecting in defined sales territory

• Business development projects, brand or channel targeted

• Utilize Repsly/CRM tool to recap and report progress made daily and provide recaps to functional managers and sales reps weekly

Key Accountabilities and Workstreams

• Be prepared with weekly plan based on scheduled work streams

• Audit and maintain quality assurance (QA) standards for products

• Manage Accounts Receivables to be within credit terms while on coverage

• Use all sales tools and resources for order entry and other sales related activities

• Utilize sales tools to track progress and target business development opportunities

• Educate customers with product information to assist with retail sales

• Seek additional cooler placement, shelf space, and/or menu placements

• Inform customers of new items, programs, and price increases

• Actively participate in weekly sales meetings and sales events

• Complete tracking forms as required by manager in a timely fashion

• Audit and maintain QA standards and notify management of deficiencies.

• A Territory Sales Representative is sometimes responsible for performing duties beyond the normal workday.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Light mental and visual attention required for performing work where there is some variety but actions taken and decisions made are limited to few possibilities. Work requires some coordination with others. AND/OR set-up, regulate, and adjust simple machines or processes.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time, move about to access various objects, operates office machinery such as a computer, communicate effectively. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Ability to use an automobile, computer, printer, fax machine, photocopier, and telephone

Ability to use the following software: Data Driller, E-Mail, Microsoft Office, Indigo Olive.
