Here's what you'll deliver:

  • Assist the Head of Financial Services and General Manager in the planning and forecasting of goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  • Discuss and attempt to sell financing, extended warranty, insurance, and chemical options with all customers in order to increase customer satisfaction as well as dealership profit.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with PCL staff.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, monthly and annual targeted sales goals and objectives.
  • Coaches team members to provide excellent customer service.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all PCL Department staff.
  • Responsible for meeting/exceeding sales and F&I targets.
  • Provide support and assistance to PCL team members with closing sales deals.
  • Assign and track online leads to team members.
  • Structure deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines.
  • Serve as liaison between the customer and the financial institution by obtaining confirmation of financing, insurance, licensing, and other personal information for customers.
  • Be knowledgeable of provincial regulations regarding finance and the fair credit reporting act.
  • Maintain confidentiality on all sensitive information provided by customers.
  • Develop and demonstrate a positive attitude and working climate.
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Understand and comply with OMVIC regulations.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, provincial and local regulations that affect service operations, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), waste disposal regulations, etc.
  • Work in strict compliance with the Laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada including, but not limited to, the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
  • Other duties as required by management.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Grade 12 diploma or GED.
  • 3-4 years of Dealer Financial Service Experience is preferred.
  • OMVIC Certification, required.
  • Dealer CRM system experience required.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of financial institutions, insurance policies, and warranty options.
  • Ability to read, understand, and calculate banking figures such as discounts, interest rates, percentages, and commissions.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Be knowledgeable of provincial regulations regarding finance and the fair credit reporting act.

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Compensation (expected annual compensation): $120,000 - $170,000 per year (base salary plus monthly performance-based bonuses). This range includes a fixed base salary and eligibility for monthly bonuses tied to individual results and/or department performance, which may be influenced by business volumes. Actual bonus earnings vary based on performance.
