To thrive as an Orchard Manager, you need expertise in horticulture, crop management, and agribusiness, often supported by a degree in agriculture or a related field. Familiarity with farm management software, irrigation systems, and pest control technologies is typically required. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills help in managing teams and coordinating with suppliers and buyers. These skills are essential for maximizing crop yield, ensuring orchard health, and running a profitable and sustainable operation.
