Orbit Industries, a leading manufacturer of Electrical products, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Factory Salesman to join our dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with distributors and contractors, promoting our products, and driving sales growth within an assigned territory.


Key Responsibilities:


Distributor and Contractor Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers within the designated territory. Responsible for achieving sales, profit, and growth goals for all Orbit products with the assigned territory. Maintain desirable mix and margins at distribution through assigned territory. Ensure sales are profitable and meet or exceed expectations and requirements as set by management.


Sales Development: Identify new sales opportunities and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals. Identify, evaluate, and select distributor partners within the assigned territory. Develop and build direct relationships with Electrical distributors, contractors, MRO, and other users of Orbit’s products.


Product Knowledge: Gain a comprehensive understanding of our electrical products and services to effectively communicate their benefits to customers. Provide product training for distributors and contractors.


Sales Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our unique labor-saving products and the breadth of the Orbit line to distributors and contractors. Recommend appropriate solutions to contractors, end-users, and specifiers.


Market Research: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.


Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and weekly itineraries and call reports. Submit expense reports in a timely manner. Timely follow-up and compliance with all requests from management.


Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, inside sales and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Basic understanding of electrical products or the willingness to learn.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams; experience with CRM software is a plus.

· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory, with occasional overnight stays as required to cover the territory.
