Job Description
Optometrist
Take, evaluate, and record complex medical histories. Perform examinations (pediatric, adolescent, and adult) required to evaluate complex optometry problems. Administration of medication by injection. Corneal epithelial debridement. Dilation and irrigation of lacrimal apparatus-Meibomian gland expression/massage-Initiate consultation requests to specialists and other health professionals. Removal of non-perforating foreign bodies from cornea and conjunctiva-Comprehensive eye health and vision examination including: Developmental and perceptual vision evaluation and treatment Diagnosis and management of conditions of the visual system , Diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and conditions of the eye, orbit, and adnexa (visual system)
Qualifications
Requirements Of The Optometrist (OD) • Doctor of Optometry degree (OD) • License to practice in the state of NY • Excellent clinical and communication skills • Ability to thrive in a team environment
