Oral Surgery Assistant

We are a patient centered, multi-office oral surgery practice.
Our offices are located at 4905 Old Orchard Center, Skokie, Illinois 60077 and 2440 W. Peterson Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60659.
While the position is mainly for our Skokie Location all applicants must be able to work at both offices.
We are looking for a compassionate people-person with good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
Computer skills are a necessity.
Basic front desk duties are required.
We are willing to train the right person but assisting experience or dental assisting school education ifs preferred.
We are seeking a bright and talented individual who wishes to pursue a career as an assistant.

Job Description

Assist the oral surgeon during procedures by preparing instruments, materials and trays, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing chairside support.
Utilize dental terminology and knowledge of anatomy to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Manage patient records and documentation using EMR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Take x-rays and assist with medical imaging as needed, while maintaining organizational skills to ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor vital signs and dismiss patients, ensuring a compassionate approach to patient care.
Assist the front desk with basic front duties when warranted.

Salary Range

Full-time $21 - $25 per hour

Shift & Schedule

- Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM; Wednesday: 7 :45 AM - 1 PM.
- Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
-10 minute morning and afternoon breaks if the schedule allows.
- Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.
