SALT Dental Partners is excited to announce the opening of a brand-new Oral Surgery suite in Silver Spring, MD, launching in August 2026. We are seeking a Full-Time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to lead this modern facility and serve an established referral network of pediatric and orthodontic offices in the surrounding area.
This new, state-of-the-art Oral Surgery suite will feature:

4 fully equipped operatories

1 dedicated consult room

1 private recovery room

In-office CBCT imaging for comprehensive diagnostics

Strong built-in referral base from nearby PPO and FFS pediatric and orthodontic practices within the SALT Dental Partners network

Mentorship from local oral surgeons Dr. Jarred Abel and Dr. Neel Patel in MD, DC, and VA.
Position Overview
The Oral Surgeon will provide full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgical care to patients referred from partner practices and the broader community. This is a full-time, 5 days per week position with competitive earnings and growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

Perform full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, including:
-
Extractions (routine and complex)
-
Dental implants and bone grafting
-
Exposure and bonding of impacted teeth
-
Management of oral pathology and infections
-
IV sedation and anesthesia administration
-
Orthognathic and trauma-related procedures (if desired)
-
Evaluate and diagnose patients using CBCT and digital imaging
-
Maintain the highest standards in patient care and safety
-
Collaborate with referring doctors to ensure comprehensive treatment plans
-
Lead and mentor a clinical team in a new, high-quality surgical environment
-
Maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation
Requirements
-
DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school
-
Completion of a CODA-accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
-
Board-certified or board-eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
-
Active (or eligible for) Maryland Dental License and sedation permit
-
Current ACLS and BLS certification
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth
