About the Job You Are Considering

The Oracle Cloud Finance Functional Architect is a senior consulting and solution leadership role responsible for helping clients modernize and transform their finance organizations through Oracle Cloud Financials. Working directly with C-level executives, finance leaders, business stakeholders, and global delivery teams, this individual leads the design and implementation of end-to-end Oracle Cloud Finance solutions that address complex business challenges and support enterprise transformation objectives.

As a trusted advisor, the Oracle Cloud Finance Functional Architect collaborates with clients to define future-state business processes, develop solution strategies, and deliver scalable, integrated Oracle Cloud Financial solutions. This role combines deep functional expertise with strong consulting, stakeholder management, and solution architecture capabilities to drive successful outcomes across global implementations.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience leading large-scale Oracle Cloud Finance transformations, guiding clients through business process optimization, solution design, implementation, and adoption while ensuring alignment with industry leading practices and organizational goals.

The Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Lead provides end-to-end solutions that address clients' business requirements and solve business problems using Oracle Cloud applications, with the ability to work with multicultural teams, including onshore/offshore members. Strong finance business process knowledge and hands-on Oracle Financials Cloud experience is required to provide business solutions reducing the use of PaaS solutions.  

Your Role
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance executives, business stakeholders, and project leadership teams, helping clients address complex business and technology challenges.
  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Oracle Cloud Financials, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, industry leading practices, and enterprise technology strategies.
  • Facilitate business process design workshops, fit-gap assessments, solution reviews, and executive design sessions.
  • Define, validate, and gain stakeholder approval for Oracle Cloud Finance solution designs and implementation strategies.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable and integrated Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Lead functional workstreams throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, training, and post-go-live support.
  • Serve as the liaison between functional and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery and integration across Oracle and non-Oracle platforms.
  • Provide leadership for conference room pilots (CRPs), solution demonstrations, testing cycles, defect resolution, and deployment readiness activities.
  • Drive project governance, issue resolution, risk management, change management, and executive stakeholder communications.
  • Mentor project teams and contribute to Oracle Cloud delivery methodologies, accelerators, templates, and best practices.
  • Support business development activities, proposal efforts, solutioning workshops, and client presentations.
  • Contribute to Capgemini's Oracle Cloud practice through knowledge sharing, thought leadership, innovation, and community participation.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of Oracle implementation experience, including 10+ years supporting Oracle Financial applications and large-scale ERP transformation programs.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience serving as a Solution Architect or Lead Functional Architect on global Oracle Cloud implementations.
  • Proven experience delivering at least 5-6 Oracle Cloud/Fusion ERP implementations, including multiple full project lifecycle deployments.
  • Deep expertise within Oracle Cloud Financials, including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CM), Fixed Assets (FA), Expenses, Collections, Tax, Subledger Accounting (SLA)
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Financial Accounting Hub (FAH), Lease Accounting, Joint Ventures, and Project Finance is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud integration points with Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Projects, Fixed Assets, Core HR, and third-party applications.
  • Experience leading business process design, requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Demonstrated consulting experience with the ability to engage executive stakeholders and lead complex transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Finance operating models, accounting processes, controls, compliance requirements, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working within global delivery environments with distributed and multicultural teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and lead complex workstreams simultaneously.
  • Two or more active Oracle Cloud Certifications.
  • Oracle Cloud Financials implementation certifications across relevant modules.
  • Experience integrating Oracle Cloud Financials with non-Oracle applications and enterprise platforms.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $123,750- $340,750

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
