Detailed Job Description
Functional/Technical Support & Issue Resolution
• Provide daily support for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) modules, including:
o Manufacturing (WIP, BOM, MRP)
o Warehouse Management / Inventory
o Shipping Execution
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority issues impacting production, material movement, picking, staging, packing, and shipping activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate fixes with other teams when required.
• Monitor interface errors and transactional failures; resolve or escalate appropriately.
2. Onsite Collaboration & Floor Presence
• Be physically present in key operational areas such as:
o Production floor
o Shipping docks
o Warehouse and storage areas
• Work closely with users to understand issues in real time.
• Validate system transactions directly at the point of activity (e.g., scanning stations, handheld devices, packing stations).
3. Customer & Stakeholder Interaction
• Serve as the primary IT point of contact for plant operations teams.
• Gather requirements for system enhancements or process improvements.
• Communicate clearly with end-users during critical system issues and provide timely updates.
• Collaborate with global IT, Oracle support teams, and business SMEs when needed.
4. Testing, Training & Documentation
• Support testing during patch updates, system upgrades, and new feature deployments.
• Create user guides, SOPs, and quick-reference materials for plant personnel.
• Conduct training sessions for new users or when new functionalities are introduced.
5. Continuous Improvement
• Identify recurring issues and propose process or configuration improvements.
• Evaluate opportunities to optimize warehouse and shipping flows through system enhancements.
