Job description

A Day in the Life:

The Fusion Engineer provides day-to-day support for the Oracle Fusion and Asset Backed Security support on PLSQL. The is a technical position that collaborates with the product owners and IT stakeholders to define requirements for application development. The position plays a critical role in facilitating business process discussions, redesigning to solve inefficiencies, laying the foundation for application support, Quarterly upgrades and enhancement planning and development. In addition, collaborates on detailed designs and test plans, ensuring traceability from business goals to requirements definition to production delivery.

A key part of this role will be to partner with IT and Business teams with the implementation and ongoing improvement of Oracle Fusion Cloud procurement-related systems for Fleet and Non-Fleet. This role also fits into ABS supporting PLSQL based home grown solutions

We expect the starting salary to be around $135,000. The actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience. Posting open until the position is filled

What You’ll Do:

  • Database Design and Development: - Design and implement database structures, including tables, views, and indexes. - Develop PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to encapsulate business logic.
  • Expert working knowledge on OIC, APEX, BIP, VBCS, ATP
  • Optimize database performance through advanced PL/SQL tuning techniques.
  • Support and enhance Treasury daily reporting by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Interface with stakeholders and customers to gather requirements and present solutions.
  • Integrate with reporting tools such as Cognos to deliver business-critical insights.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in all development activities.
  • Testing and Debugging: - Conduct unit testing of PL/SQL code to ensure functionality and reliability. - Debug and troubleshoot PL/SQL programs, identifying and fixing issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of the technical components
  • Work closely with database administrators, application developers, and business analysts to gather tech requirements. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage user roles and permissions within the database.
  • Expert in APEX for front-end development and FAW reporting
  • OIC (Extensive knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud – Oracle Fusion REST API/SOAP API) – Develop new integration/Modify existing as needed
  • Build reports under Oracle Fusion using Oracle BIP, OTBI (Real time report) – Knowledge of Oracle Fusion back-end tables/templates.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle ERP modules – FA, AR, AP, GL, Procurement, CM.
  • Provide day-to-day support of the Oracle Financials including applying periodic patches, reporting requirements, ad-hoc requests from business and production system support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10 years of hands-on experience in Fusion Technical components and PLSQL.
  • Must have significant hands-on demonstrable experience with Fusion Technical components
  • Knowledge on Fusion SaaS tables and standard interfaces
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability with significant prior experience working to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the Oracle Fusion.
  • Ability to map applications to standard business processes
  • Significant experience applying Oracle AIM Methodology, FRICEW, and CEMLI
  • Ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes within an organization, and knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams.
  • Adept at collaborating with technical development teams when addressing new implementations, functionality enhancements, performance issues or application updates
  • Experience working with multiple partner environments
  • Flexibility working offshore time zones
  • JIRA board and Scrum experience
  • Ability to present and articulate complex solutions
  • Strong task management skills with the ability to manage complex and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
