Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Oracle Databases in a RAC and non RAC environment

- Assist in troubleshooting database issues

- Assist in database performance tuning

- Responsible for installing and configuring databases

- Responsible for RMAN backup of databases

- Responsible for applying quarterly Oracle database patch and database upgrade

Qualifications

Minimum skills and qualifications:

- US Citizenship required. No Dual Citizens

- Ability to acquire a Public Trust

- 4 years or more of IT Delivery and/or Operations experience

- 4 years or more of writing SQL queries

- 4 years or more of managing Oracle databases in a Unix/Linux environment

- Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Bachelors Degree or 4 additional years experience in lieu of degree

- Able to work flexible schedule/weekends if needed

Preferred skills and qualifications:

- Experience with Oracle Exadata

- Experience with managing Oracle databases in a RAC and non RAC environment

- Experience with applying Oracle patch in an Oracle Exadata RAC environment

- Certified Oracle DBA

- IT Operations experience in a Homeland Security or Law Enforcement environment
