General Summary
The Director-Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning Technology is a strategic technology leader responsible for the vision, delivery, stability, and optimization of WellSpan Health's Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) ecosystem. Oversees all technical aspects of WellSpan's Oracle Healthcare Industry Cloud (HIC) and ERP platforms including Finance, Supply Chain, HR/Workforce, and Integration technologies, ensuring these systems are engineered for reliability, scalability, automation, and long-term sustainability. Partners closely with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Payroll, IT Operations, Security, Architecture, and WellSpan's cloud transformation teams to design and run a high-performing, modern ERP environment that meets enterprise-wide needs. Drives platform engineering, integrations, data strategy alignment, testing automation, governance, and performance optimization across all Oracle ERP domains. Serves as the accountable leader for ERP technology strategy and execution.

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
  • Strategic Leadership and Governance: • Owns the enterprise ERP Technology strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned to WellSpan Health's 2030 vision. • Serves as a core member of the Applications and Architecture governance bodies, ensuring ERP alignment to enterprise standards, cloud patterns, security controls, and data strategy. • Provides executive leadership for ERP modernization initiatives, platform standardization, and technical debt reduction. • Establishes engineering best practices, DevOps/automation standards, and scalable processes for high-velocity delivery
  • Platform Engineering and Operations: • Oversees architecture, engineering, integration, configuration, and management of the full Oracle ERP ecosystem. • Ensures high availability, performance, and reliability across all production and non-production ERP environments. • Directs platform upgrades, patching strategies, regression testing, release management, and environment management. • Partners with CloudOps and SRE teams to build a resilient cloud infrastructure foundation for ERP workloads.
  • Data, Integrations and Automation: • Leads design and optimization of integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and other enterprise integration platforms. • Collaborates with Data Architecture teams to implement data consistency, lineage, quality, and stewardship standards. • Drives automation of business processes, testing cycles, and release pipelines using DevOps and CI/CD techniques.
  • Collaboration, Stakeholder Management and Change Leadership: • Acts as the primary technology partner for Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Payroll leadership. • Represents ERP technology in executive forums, Steering Committees, and strategic planning sessions. • Builds strong partnerships with Oracle, AMS partners, systems integrators, and internal engineering teams. • Evangelizes modern ERP practices, cloud capabilities, and a data-centric operating model across the organization.
  • Security, Risk, and Compliance: • Ensures ERP environments meet all cybersecurity, audit, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements. • Partners with Information Security to implement security controls, identity governance, SoD, and continuous monitoring. • Maintains strong change management, segregation of duties, and audit-ready technical documentation.
  • Leadership and People Management: • Leads a high-performing team of ERP engineers, architects, developers, and integration specialists. • Mentors and grows technical leaders through coaching, skills development, and career pathing. • Builds a culture of ownership, transparency, teamwork, and continuous improvement. • Develops staffing models and vendor strategies that support sustainability and scalability

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field Required
  • Masters Degree Preferred

Work Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience leading ERP technology teams, with at least 5 years focused on Oracle Cloud ERP Required
  • Proven track record designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale Oracle ERP environments in complex organizations (healthcare preferred)
  • Expertise in: Oracle ERP Cloud (Finance, SCM, HCM, Payroll); Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC); Oracle Reporting tools (OTBI, BICC, FRS); Cloud hosting (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or AWS); Identity, security, patching, and environment management
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, AMS partners, and complex RFP/SOW engagements
  • Experience implementing or overseeing Oracle Healthcare Industry Cloud (HIC) Preferred
  • Background in healthcare IT operations, clinical/financial workflows, or regulatory environments Preferred

Courses and Training:
  • ITIL, PMP, Lean/Six Sigma, or cloud certifications (Oracle, AWS, Azure) are a plus Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, data governance, DevOps, testing automation, and SRE/observability principles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, drive consensus, and communicate clearly with senior executives
