Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle ERP Functional/Technical Analyst to support post-go-live Finance operations and ongoing application configuration. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Financials configuration and techno-functional support, with a solid understanding of finance business processes and Oracle ERP architecture.

The consultant will support General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, Projects, and Cash Management, including transaction troubleshooting, configuration validation, workflows, subledger accounting, and period-close activities.

Hands-on Oracle ERP configuration experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day functional and techno-functional support for Oracle ERP Financials.
  • Troubleshoot and triage Finance-related transactions, configuration issues, and application errors.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into Oracle ERP configuration and functional solutions.
  • Configure and validate Oracle Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Projects, and Cash Management.
  • Review and maintain financial configurations, accounting setups, calendars, ledgers, payment configurations, and transaction processing rules.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and validate Subledger Accounting (SLA) rules and accounting derivations.
  • Support BPM workflows, approvals, routing, and business process configurations.
  • Investigate accounting and transaction issues across subledgers and General Ledger.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of Finance application issues and recommend corrective solutions.
  • Support daily Finance operations and month-end/period-close activities.
  • Validate accounting entries, reconciliation processes, and subledger-to-GL integrations.
  • Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to understand business requirements and resolve production issues.
  • Participate in configuration changes, testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
  • Develop and execute functional test scenarios for configuration and process changes.
  • Support data validation and reconciliation following system changes or fixes.
  • Prepare functional documentation, configuration documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials.
  • Coordinate with technical teams on integrations, reports, interfaces, and other ERP-related issues.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle ERP Financials.
  • Demonstrated Oracle ERP configuration experience in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting business processes.
  • Experience supporting GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Projects, and Cash Management.
  • Experience with Subledger Accounting (SLA) configuration and accounting rules.
  • Hands-on experience with BPM workflows and approval configurations.
  • Experience troubleshooting Finance transactions, accounting issues, and setup/configuration problems.
  • Understanding of period-end and month-end close processes.
  • Experience with functional testing, issue analysis, and production support.
  • Ability to work with both functional Finance users and technical IT teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
