One of our clients in Newark, NJ is urgently looking for a Jr. Oracle EPM Consultant.

Hourly: $60 - $65 (1099/C2C)

Duration: 4-6 months

Position Summary

We are seeking a Jr. Oracle EPM Consultant with hands-on experience supporting Oracle Essbase and Oracle Cloud EPM Planning, particularly in migration from on-premises Essbase environments to Oracle Cloud EPM Planning.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of EPM Planning, Essbase cubes, dimensions, metadata, data loads, business rules, and reporting, along with exposure to migration and validation activities. This role will work closely with senior EPM consultants, business users, and technical teams to support successful EPM cloud migration initiatives.

 Key ResponsibilitiesOracle EPM Cloud Planning
  • Support the implementation and administration of Oracle Cloud EPM Planning applications.
  • Assist with configuration of Planning dimensions, hierarchies, members, properties, and application settings.
  • Support development and maintenance of Planning forms, dashboards, reports, and user access.
  • Assist with data integration and data-loading processes between source systems and Oracle EPM Cloud.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation of Planning functionality.
Essbase to Oracle Cloud EPM Migration
  • Assist in migrating on-premises Oracle Hyperion Essbase applications/cubes to Oracle Cloud EPM Planning.
  • Analyze existing Essbase applications, cubes, dimensions, metadata, calculations, and business rules.
  • Support mapping of existing Essbase structures to the target Oracle Cloud EPM Planning environment.
  • Assist with migration of metadata, data, calculation logic, forms, and related application components.
  • Identify migration gaps and escalate complex technical issues to senior consultants.
  • Perform post-migration validation and reconciliation between source Essbase and target EPM Cloud environments.
  • Document migration activities, configurations, issues, and resolutions.
Data Integration
  • Assist with integrations using Oracle EPM Data Integration / Data Management capabilities.
  • Support data loads from ERP and other source systems into EPM Planning.
  • Configure and validate data mappings, import formats, locations, and data load rules under senior consultant guidance.
  • Monitor integration jobs and troubleshoot basic failures.
 Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience with Oracle EPM / Hyperion technologies.
  • Hands-on or project experience with Oracle Hyperion Essbase.
  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud EPM Planning.
  • Experience or strong project exposure to migration from on-premises Essbase to Oracle Cloud EPM Planning.
  • Understanding of EPM dimensions, hierarchies, metadata, cubes, forms, calculations, and data loads.
  • Basic knowledge of Essbase calculation scripts and/or Calculation Manager.
  • Experience with data loading, metadata management, and data reconciliation.
  • Understanding of EPM application development and testing processes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud migration projects.
  • Exposure to migration tools and utilities such as EPM Automate.
  • Experience working with Oracle Smart View.
  • Exposure to Oracle ERP, Oracle Financials, or other enterprise financial systems.
  • Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Experience working in Agile or structured implementation environments.
  • Familiarity with Oracle EPM security, users, groups, and access controls.
