Senior Oracle EBS HCM Functional Consultant
As a Senior Oracle EBS HCM Functional Consultant, you will lead the functional design, implementation, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite Human Capital Management solutions.
Working directly with clients, you will analyze business requirements, recommend best-practice solutions, and lead the design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support of Oracle EBS HCM solutions.
This role is primarily functional but requires strong hands-on technical knowledge of Oracle EBS HCM to design effective solutions and partner with development teams on custom reports, interfaces, conversions, integrations, and system enhancements. The ideal candidate has extensive Oracle EBS HCM experience, excels at translating business requirements into practical solutions, and has experience implementing and supporting HCM solutions for organizations with unionized workforces.
Responsibilities
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, business process analysis, and fit/gap assessments.
  • Design functional Oracle EBS HCM solutions that align with client business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Configure and support Oracle EBS HCM modules, including Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, and related applications.
  • Develop functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and customizations.
  • Partner with technical consultants to design, test, troubleshoot, and deploy custom solutions and integrations.
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing, production deployments, and post-production support.
  • Evaluate Oracle patches and upgrades, assess business impact, and recommend implementation strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, test scripts, training materials, and other project documentation.
  • Provide functional leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite HCM consulting experience.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Oracle EBS HCM solutions for organizations with unionized workforces, including Human Resources and Payroll processes governed by collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong understanding of union pay grades, salary structures, seniority rules, step progression, shift differentials, and other union-specific HR and payroll processes.
  • Strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, and related HCM modules.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Oracle EBS HCM implementations and support engagements.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, conducting fit/gap analysis, designing solutions, configuring applications, and supporting testing activities.
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture, including data structures, interfaces, APIs, reports, Fast Formula, PL/SQL concepts, and integrations. Hands-on development experience is not required, but the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams is essential.
  • Experience writing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, test plans, and user documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and priorities in a consulting environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
