Job description

Job Title: Oracle EBS Technical Lead Location: Knoxville, Tennessee Responsibilities

  • Lead Engineer / Tech Lead: Own end to end technical delivery for Splash BI implementations.
  • Perform architecture reviews and guide design decisions with minimal oversight.
  • Lead code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
  • Identify technical risks early and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact between engineering, delivery, and business teams.
  • Operational & Production Readiness: Support production BI environments.
  • Troubleshoot data issues, failed loads, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Apply strong understanding of change management, releases, and cutover planning.
  • Create and maintain Runbooks and technical documentation.
  • Maintain data lineage and reconciliation guides.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience.
  • Hands on experience implementing and supporting Splash BI in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of Splash BI data models, cubes, and reporting structures.
  • Ability to optimize Splash BI performance for large Finance datasets.
  • Experience supporting Finance stakeholders.
  • Deep experience with Oracle E Business Suite (EBS) Finance modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management.
  • Strong understanding of EBS table structures and data relationships.
  • Ability to extract, transform, and reconcile EBS financial data for BI/reporting use cases.
  • Experience working with EBS customizations and extensions.
  • Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, performance tuning, reconciliation queries).
  • Experience building data feeds from Oracle EBS into BI platforms.
  • Familiarity with file based integrations (SFTP, scheduled extracts).
  • Data transformation and validation experience.
  • Understanding of financial data controls and audit requirements.
  • Proven ability to ramp up quickly in complex environments.
  • Comfortable working with partial context and imperfect documentation.
  • Clear and concise communicator with technical and non technical audiences.
  • Experience working with global and distributed teams.
  • Ownership mindset – focuses on outcomes, not just tasks.
