Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Exadata DBA for managing and optimizing Oracle databases hosted on Exadata and Linux platforms within the AWS cloud environment. This role includes ownership of application schemas, database design, extensions, and ongoing support across development, test, and production environments. The position requires strong expertise in database performance tuning, administration, replication, and high‑availability solutions such as Oracle Data Guard.

This individual will play a key role in leading database strategy and implementing best practices for large‑scale, high‑volume application systems. They will collaborate with development teams to support application modernization initiatives and ensure database components are designed for scalability, reliability, and optimal performance in AWS.

Primary Responsibilities:-

  • Manage and maintain Oracle database environments (development, test, production) running on Exadata and Linux in AWS.
  • Collaborate with application developers to define data requirements, design tables and schemas, and assist with SQL development and optimization.
  • Support application modernization efforts by providing robust, scalable database solutions.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of application schemas, database structures, and extensions.
  • Provide technical support for Oracle databases, including diagnosis and resolution of performance, configuration, and availability issues.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, standards, and best practices for database operations in cloud environments.
  • Administer high‑availability and disaster recovery configurations using Oracle Data Guard.
  • Implement and manage replication solutions such as Oracle GoldenGate.
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management for high‑volume workloads.
  • Conduct regular database backups, restores, patching, and upgrades.

Skills/Requirements:-

  • Deep understanding of Oracle Exadata architecture, including storage cells, InfiniBand networking, Smart Scan and Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC) Required 5 Years
  • Experience managing storage using Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and monitoring ASM disk groups Required 5 Years
  • Hands-on experience installing, patching, and upgrading Oracle Database software and related components (Exadata patches, PSU/DBRU/Release Updates) Required 3 Years
  • Experience with performance tuning at both database and Exadata storage layer Required 2 Years
  • Demonstrable expertise in designing database schemas, access patterns, indexing, locking strategies, and tuning Oracle databases Required 7 Years
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across database, OS, and Exadata storage components Required 7 Years
